TRADE ASSISTANT | HIGH-END RESIDENTIAL RENOVATIONS | CANBERRA ACT | $35/HR OVERTIME VEHICLE · Work on bespoke, high-end residential renovation projects · Full-time role | Monday to Friday (38 hours) · Company vehicle provided | Long-term opportunity About Canberra ACT · Population: ~462,000 · Strong residential renovation and premium housing market · High demand for reliable trade assistants across high-end projects About the role A well-established high-end residential construction business is seeking a Trade Assistant to support the delivery of bespoke renovation projects across Canberra. This is a hands-on, varied role suited to someone proactive, reliable, and comfortable working in fast-paced site environments. You will support trades, maintain high site standards, assist with materials and contribute to the smooth day-to-day operation of multiple renovation projects. Tasks & Responsibilities Site Support & General Duties Assist with site setup, protection installation, signage, and deliveries Maintain clean, safe, and organised job sites Assist carpenters, tilers, and other trades with general labour tasks Handle, transport, and store materials safely Conduct final site cleans and waste removal Support waste management and housekeeping Assist with general site labour as required Operate forklift at storage facility (if licensed) Communication & Reporting Communicate clearly with supervisors and trades Complete daily logs and checklists using digital systems Proactively raise site issues or material requirements Safety & Compliance Comply with WHS requirements across ACT & NSW Follow NCC, Australian Standards, and company procedures Identify and report site hazards Skills & Experience Essential Previous experience in construction, renovation, or labouring Strong work ethic and proactive attitude Ability to use basic power tools safely Good communication and teamwork skills Current Driver's Licence White Card Highly Regarded Forklift licence Residential renovation experience Asbestos Awareness & Silica training First Aid Certificate Benefits & Perks $35 per hour overtime as required Company vehicle provided Full-time, stable employment High-end residential renovation exposure Supportive team culture and strong site leadership Opportunity to grow skills long-term About the company The employer is a well-established, Canberra-based residential renovation specialist operating in the high-end market.
